Dream of drawing complex elemental scenes, but finding it hard to capture their depth?
Aspiring artists might feel charged and inspired by the natural elements of fire and water, but struggle to capture the dynamism and authentic look in their own art. They can often look unrealistic and lifeless. I know firsthand how discouraging these challenges can be.
I created this course to give a strong foundation in capturing the colours, light and shapes of these elements on the iPad. I go beyond short tutorials and really delve into the details of creating vital and realistic element inspired images.
My goal is to share my passion for drawing the elements and empower you with the tools, techniques, and principles to become a confident elements artist.
With 15 years of teaching experience, I know how to break

Course Content
The course is divided into 80+ video lessons, providing more than 10 hours of in-depth content.
The course centres on element drawing using Procreate on the iPad, guiding you through the essentials of creating believable fire and water forms. In it, you will learn to draw 16 individual detailed and photorealistic images, ranging from texture spheres to full landscapes.
Together, we will delve into ways to represent fire and water in different shapes and contexts, while also learning how to effectively utilize color, detail, and texture.
The ultimate goal is to empower you to embark on your own elemental drawing projects beyond the course, leaving you with the confidence to explore your creativity further.

MODULES 1&2
Course Introduction & Procreate Basics
Get to know your instructor and understand how to follow the course for the best learning experience. Then explore Procreate’s core essentials — canvas creation, the user interface, gestures, brushes, erasers, smudge tools, layers, colours, selections, transformations, saving and exporting. These foundational lessons prepare you to use the app confidently before moving
into the creative projects.
MODULES 3&4
Shape Foundations & Simple Lighting
Begin applying your Procreate skills by creating simple illustrated objects such as lava spheres, ice spheres and basic forms. Learn how light, glow and texture behave on rounded surfaces, building the essential skills you’ll need for more advanced effects later in the course.
MODULES 5&6
Drawing Fire & Dynamic Flames
Create candles, small burning logs, bonfires and stylized flame shapes. You’ll learn how to illustrate heat glow, soft gradients, colour transitions, and how to make fire look alive and dynamic through controlled brush strokes.
MODULES 7&8
Water Effects & Liquid Motion
Learn to illustrate realistic small drops, splash forms and larger water shapes. These lessons show how reflections, highlights and transparency work together, helping you bring movement and fluidity into
your water-based drawings.
MODULE 9
Combining Fire & Water Elements
Bring everything together by illustrating scenes where water and fire interact, such as a bonfire beside water or flames reflected near a lake. This module teaches you how to balance contrast, depth and atmosphere while combining multiple effects in a single artwork.

You will develop your digital painting skills by creating flames, water drops, spheres, splashes, waterfalls, and more through guided hands-on illustrations.
