Course Content
The course is divided into 80+ video lessons, providing more than 9 hours of in-depth content.
In it, I guide you through the essentials of creating believable tree forms using Procreate on the iPad. We will delve into key concepts like Davinci’s tree drawing rule and perspective, while also learning how to effectively utilise colour, detail, and texture. After mastering the basics, we’ll create three large and detailed tree painting tutorials from start to finish. You will also gain access to extended content on foliage texture techniques in my bonus modules.
The ultimate goal is to empower you to embark on your own tree drawing projects beyond the course, giving you the confidence to explore your creativity further.

MODULE 1&2
Introduction and Procreate essentials
Meet me as your teacher and learn how to navigate the course effectively. Then, dive into the Procreate app mastering its interface, gestures, brush tools, layer systems, color settings, transformations, selections, and more. These lessons will help you feel confident using the app before jumping into drawing.
MODULE 3&4
Setting up your Workspace and Tree Drawing Rules
Set up your canvas and brushes correctly, and learn how to save and export your work. Then, discover the key principles behind believable tree forms, like how branches taper, the Da Vinci rule, tonal perspective, and more, through hands-on tasks designed to build your understanding step by step.
MODULE 5&6
Tree Bark Textures and Close Up Tree
Learn how to draw different tree bark textures through three focused exercises, each broken down into clear steps. Then, apply your knowledge in a detailed close-up tree painting that includes both bark and foliage textures.
MODULE 7&8
Middle distant tree and
Large tree
Follow two complete tutorials to create a middle distant tree with dramatic backlighting and a large, wide tree scene. Each section is broken down into easy steps using everything you’ve learned in the previous modules.
